 The Peasants desk focuses on
monitoring the implementation of the government's agrarian reform
program while drawing attention to the dismal plight of agricultural
workers. It closely coordinates with AR Now!, a coalition of NGOs, in
pushing for a vigorous approach to agrarian reform. Presently, it
conducts research for a documentary on cases of agrarian reform, which
shall be shown in national television once it is completed. It is
also studying other issues likely to affect the peasant sector such as
globalization and genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
